Map by Robert Vaugondy, corrected and enlarged with new discoveries by CF Delamarche, Vaugondy's successor. Giles and Didier Robert de Vaugondy, father and son, were famous cartographers of the 18th century, descendants of the cartographer Nicolas Sanson, from whom they inherited much of their cartographic material. In 1760, Didier Robert de Vaugondy was appointed geographer to Louis XV. In 1757, they published their most famous work, 'Atlas Universal'. Size: 27.3x44.4 cm and sheet size: 31.8x45 cm.
