Jacob goes to Egypt. Title: Jacob goes into Egypt. Genesis Ch XLVI. Engraver: Johannes Kip (Jan Kip), 1636–1707. Artist: after G. Freman (1688-1690 (fl.)) Publisher: Richard Blome. Production date: 1688. Provenance: The History of the Old and the New Testament. The plate depicts a scene of the Bible, with title below image; most of the plates have two putti above the image holding a fringed sheet with royal coat of arms and a dedication. Size: 25,7x39,7 cms. Condition: Some imperfections mostly on margins due to handling. G. Freman (1688-1690 (fl.)) Designer of a number of plates in a Bible published by Richard Blome in 1688-90. His first name is not known, and in the book his name is invariably written as 'G.Freman'. He seems to be completely undocumented.
