Description: Hand coloured engraving with a young woman shown three-quarters length in profile to right, glancing round with a smile towards the viewer, wearing a pale dress decorated with lace, her hair dressed up with a ribbon, with her arms laid one over the other in front of her, a fan in her right, in a bower at dusk. The model for this painting is Vittoria Caldoni, the daughter of a winemaker from Albano, Italy.
