Ancient plan of the Roman temple dedicated to Nymphs that stood in what is now San Vicente Park.

Temple dedicated to nymphs, female goddesses associated with natural sites, and which would have been located in the same place where the San Vicente de Llíria spring currently springs, providing the water needed for the monumental complex formed by the Mura Hot Springs.

Provenance: Voyage pittoresque et historique de l'Espagne. It was a travel book by the Frenchman Alexandre de Laborde, published in four volumes between 1806 and 1820. Alexandre Laborde's 'Picturesque Journey' helped to spread the romantic vision of Spain abroad. The patron of the work was Godoy. Contains first-hand archaeological data and beautiful English-style landscapes.

Engraved by: François Jacques Dequevauviller (Paris, 1783 - c. 1848) based on a work by Ligier (1780-).
