Artist	Carlo Antonio Porporati

Carlo Antonio Porporati (1741-1816): Classic line-engraver. Born in Turin, sent with a pension by King of Sardinia to train in Paris in 1768 under J F Beauvarlet. Member of the Académie in 1773, in which year he returned to Turin as professor of engraving, where he died.
