This print was etched after a drawing by Carlo Maratti then in the collection of Cardinal Albani. The drawing, most likely the one now housed in the Royal Library at Windsor Castle, is a copy after the Sistine Chapel tapestry of the same subject designed by Raphael under commission of Pope Leo X, now in the Vatican Museums. Lettered with artists names, Bible quote (Acts, Chapter 9) and former location of Marattis drawing.
