Thomas Allom

Antique prints after Thomas Allom

Thomas Allom (1804–1872) was a prolific architect and topographical draughtsman whose views illustrated popular series on Britain, France and beyond. This selection includes Honister Crag in Cumberland, Berwick upon Tweed and the abbey of Vallombrosa in Tuscany, engraved by S. Lacey and J. Henshall between 1831 and 1860.

The category interests collectors of British and Italian topography and readers researching a particular abbey, castle or town. Every engraving is an original period impression, described with technique and exact measurements.
