Rouargue
Antique prints by Rouargue
The Rouargue brothers ran a nineteenth-century French engraving workshop that supplied steel-engraved views for illustrated travel books across Europe and beyond. This selection includes the tower of San Cristóbal in Bern, the interior of Jerez cathedral, Dublin and San Juan de Acre in the Holy Land, dated between 1838 and 1859.
The category interests collectors of European topography and readers drawn to a specific city. Every engraving is an original period impression, with a technical description and exact measurements.
