François Boucher
Antique prints after François Boucher
François Boucher (1703–1770) was the leading French Rococo painter, whose compositions were widely engraved for illustrated editions of Molière and for independent academic studies. This selection includes plates from Le Misanthrope, Le Dépit amoureux and Les Amants magnifiques, engraved by Laurent Cars between 1734 and 1760, alongside a nude academy study.
The category suits collectors of French Rococo art and of eighteenth-century theatrical illustration. Every engraving is an original period impression, with a technical description and exact measurements.
