Cartoons and Satires

Antique cartoons and satires

This category is led by Francisco de Goya's Caprichos, satirical etchings first published in 1799 and reprinted from the original plates, alongside William Hogarth's social satire and later caricature from the nineteenth century. Prints span 1715 to 1970 and include figures such as Thomas Cook among the engravers.

The collection interests admirers of Goya and Hogarth, as well as collectors of political and social satire. All prints are original period impressions unless otherwise noted, each with a technical description and exact measurements.
