Original engraving of Copenhagen House, the celebrated tavern and tea garden in the county of Middlesex, on the outskirts of London, enlivened with country people and strollers. Drawn by Merigot and engraved by C. J. Williams for The Beauties of England and Wales.

Copenhagen House, in what is now Islington, was through the 18th and early 19th centuries a place of refreshment, fives matches and great political meetings. It was pulled down in 1853 to make way for the Metropolitan Cattle Market, so the engraving records a building that no longer exists.
