Elisa - Original Steel Engraving by Carl Mayer, Nuremberg - 19th C

Portrait of a lady titled "Elisa", engraved on steel in the Kunst-Anstalt of Carl Mayer at Nuremberg, one of the most active engraving establishments in 19th-century Germany. The young woman is shown half length, with ringlets, earrings and an off-the-shoulder dress trimmed with pearls. It is mounted in an old mat with a gilt rule.
