An impression from the fifth edition of Los Caprichos, printed between 1881 and 1886 by the Calcografía Nacional for the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in an edition of 210 copies, on thick wove paper without watermark and from the beveled copper. The album was bound along the upper edge of the sheets.
Medium: Etching and aquatint, with touches of drypoint and burin.
Artist / after: Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (Fuendetodos, 1746 - Bordeaux, 1828).
Date: Fifth edition, 1881-1886 (the image engraved 1797-1799).

Dimensions: Plate mark 5.9 x 8.5 in (15 x 21.5 cm); sheet 10.2 x 14.9 in (26 x 37.8 cm).
Condition: Pale foxing in the margins of the sheet, one larger stain in the right margin, visible in the photograph; the impression itself is clean, with good gradation of the aquatint.
