Copper engraving of the interior of the Capelas Imperfeitas at the monastery of Batalha in Portugal, with the Manueline doorway densely carved and the vaults open to the sky, and women kneeling before the altar. Engraved by Lemaitre, with the bilingual caption "Chapelle de D. Manoel dans l'Église de Batalha".

The monastery of Batalha is one of the great works of Portuguese Gothic and of the Manueline style, and a World Heritage site.
