Meadow with a Great Branch - English Watercolor with Study Notes

Original watercolor of the English school, a study from nature with a great branch crossing the upper part and, beyond, the meadows and hedgerows of the countryside in much-diluted greens and blues. It is a working sheet: written in pencil over the watercolor itself are notes on color and light ("Cobalt", "correct place of shadows on a misty day").

Those handwritten notes are the most interesting thing about the sheet, since they show the method of a watercolorist working out of doors.
