That combination of landscape and archaeological survey on a single sheet is characteristic of Alexandre de Laborde's Voyage pittoresque et historique de l'Espagne, published between 1806 and 1820, a work that recorded Spanish heritage with an antiquary's rigor.

Condition: The engraved area is clean. The sheet has light dirt and foxing at the edges and a fold line running diagonally down the right side and reaching the margin of the lower subject.
