From Les Délices de l'Espagne et du Portugal, by Juan Álvarez de Colmenar, published at Leiden by Pieter van der Aa in 1715. The hermitages and gardens of the Buen Retiro were almost entirely lost during the Peninsular War, which gives these views an added documentary value.
