Original copper engraving of 1570, no. XXVI of the Libro d'Antonio Labacco appartenente a l'architettura, with the elevation of a Corinthian cornice - a frieze of angels, modillions and coffers - and, below it, a Corinthian capital with its fluted shaft, the whole measured out in modules and parts. The engraved Italian text notes that the cornice was taken chiefly from the Rotonda, that is, the Pantheon in Rome.

Antonio Labacco (c. 1495 - c. 1570), a pupil of Antonio da Sangallo the Younger, measured and drew the Roman antiquities in this book himself; it is one of the most influential architectural repertories of the Renaissance. This example comes from the Bolognini Zaltieri edition of 1570.
