Lady in a Gig - Original Cut-Paper Silhouette - 20th Century

Original silhouette cut with scissors from black paper: a lady driving a gig at the trot behind a horse, her whip cracking, a small dog at her feet and a spray of flowers on the box. The dress and hat carry pierced applications in yellow and green.

The old record attributes it to the German artist Lotte Gutzlaff, a specialist in the art of Scherenschnitt.
