History and Events
Historic events in print
This category records battles, treaties, coronations and revolutions as they were illustrated at the time, from the Battle of Tetuán in 1860 to the destruction of Spanish galleys in Flanders in 1602 and Roger Williams among the Narragansett. Engravers include James Charles Armytage and, for Spanish subjects, Francisco de Goya and Pedro Pérez de Castro, spanning 1613 to 1937.
The prints suit historians, teachers and collectors researching a specific conflict or era. All pieces are original period engravings, each with a technical description and measurements.
