Welsh Landscape - Original English Watercolor Signed G. Rutherford - c. 1800

Original 19th-century English watercolor signed G. Rutherford at the lower left. It shows a track between crags with two figures and a snow-covered range beyond. An old label pasted to the back of the mount identifies it as a Welsh scene of about 1800.

Dimensions: Watercolor 8.9 x 6.5 in (22.6 x 16.5 cm); 14.2 x 11.7 in (36 x 29.7 cm) with the mat.
Condition: Good. Mounted in a mat with gilt fillets. The paper shows slight foxing and remains of the old mounting, visible only from the back.
