Original relief print, probably a linocut, by the Alicante artist Eugenia Funes. A front of skyscrapers covers the whole surface and their facades carry the cut words of urban advertising: "coma rápido", "ahorre", "eficacia", "corriendo", "domine", "cine imagin". Below, an avenue with cars and a row of tiny figures.
The work reads as a criticism of the city as a carrier of slogans, and makes the most of white-on-black cutting so that the messages emerge from the built mass. Eugenia Funes taught art in Alicante and worked in various graphic and printmaking techniques.
