Original 19th-century British watercolor of a sandstone cliff crowned with grass, fallen blocks at its foot and the open sea to the left, with a tiny ship on the horizon. The daisies and thistles of the foreground are worked with very fine brush touches and heightening in white.
On the back is a period handwritten dedication, "From K.M.H. to E.L.C. - Remembering many a jolly day together!", and a note of place that appears to read as a Scottish coastal name.

Dimensions: 17.7 x 13.8 in (45 x 35 cm).
