Under a starry sky, a group of old witches listens to a fifth who points to the horizon announcing the coming of day. The aquatint here grades the whole scale of greys and achieves the most successful night effect of the series. The fifth edition was printed on strong paper without a watermark, the coppers beveled, as Tomás Harris catalogues it.
