Elorrio, Kurutziaga Cross - Hand-Colored Etching Signed Verdaguer

Original etching, colored by hand, of a corner of Elorrio in Biscay: the Kurutziaga cross raised on its carved shaft within a circular parapet, among the houses of the old town and a bare tree. Titled Elorrio in pencil and signed by Verdaguer below.

The Kurutziaga cross, carved at the end of the Middle Ages, is the best-known monument of Elorrio (Bizkaia) and one of the finest stone crosses in the Basque Country.
