Original English watercolor with an estuary opening beyond between blue hills: the stony shore in the foreground, a heavily leafed stand of trees to the right and a steamer smoking in the distance. Cool in range and transparent in wash, freely and confidently handled.

Condition: Good. The watercolor keeps its color well; the old mount shows toning, some foxing and a small lifting at the right edge.
