Etching by Francisco de Goya, number 44 of Los Desastres de la Guerra, titled «Yo lo vi» (I saw it). An impression from the first edition, published by the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in 1863, thirty-five years after the artist's death.

Goya etched the series between 1810 and 1815 and never published it in his lifetime. The first edition was issued in eight parts of ten prints, numbered on the cover. This impression carries the 44 at the upper left and the 15 at the lower. According to Thomas Harris, the crispness of the captions points to the first of the two printings (1a) of that edition.
